TECHNICAL COMPONENTS OF THE AROMA STEAMER

G E N T L Y D O E S I T . Steam cooking has been used since the days of ancient China.

Handles sit comfort- ably in your hand.

Heat-resistant high-quality glass lid comes equipped with a silicone sealing edge for totally airtight steaming. Built-in thermometer to monitor the inside temperature (up to 100°C).

The method is nothing new. In steam cooking, the food sits on a permeable insert and does not come into contact with water. During cooking, the rising hot steam envelops the food on all sides and prevents it from drying out. The cell structure remains intact, preserving the food’s colour and flavour. It is not watered down and vitamins and minerals are not washed out. The food looks good and tastes better. Cooking with steam is always a success and suitable for any- thing that does not need to be cooked at a high temperature or have a crispy texture. Vegetables remain soft and al dente and fish does not fall apart. Nothing burns in steam and it does not dry out. Steaming saves time. You can steam an entire main course or several side dishes at the same time. Don’t worry – this won’t make your vegetables taste like fish. Steam does not transfer flavours. Structure of the Vitalis The Vitalis Aroma steamer is a sealed system for the hob. Liquid is brought to a boil in the roasting pan. The ingredients on the steaming rack cook in the rising steam without coming into contact with the water. The integrated thermometer in the glass lid allows you to check the progress of your food without having to take off the lid. This means the cooking process is not interrupted by any un- necessary loss of energy. Operation and maintenance At least one litre of liquid is required to allow sufficient steam to develop. You can also use stock flavoured with herbs and spices instead of water. The rising steam condenses on the food, adding extra flavour. The integrated thermometer shows the internal temperature. If the temperature is higher than the level rec- ommended for steaming, lift off the lid briefly to allow some steam to escape. If the temperature drops below the required level, temporarily increase the stove heat. You can use the roasting pan without the steaming rack as usual for roast- ing and broiling. The glass lid without thermometer is suitable for use in the oven (up to 180°C). You can also cook food au gratin in the roasting pan without the lid. The roasting pan, steaming rack and lid without thermometer are dishwash- er-safe. QUALITY FEATURES
