There are all sorts of ways to cook using a pressure cooker. Vegetables, meat and fish, diced or whole, all turn out well when cooked in a WMF pressure cooker. You can cook soups and stews, fry and stew meat, and stew or steam vegetables, fish or poultry. For those who place great emphasis on a healthy diet, the advantages of pressure cooking can be used for wholefood cuisine. Grains and pulses don’t need to be soaked beforehand and the cooking times are significantly shorter. If you are really short of time, even frozen food can be prepared in WMF pressure cookers. Vegetables can be put straight into the pot, but meat should be thawed out somewhat before frying. If you use the insert and trivet, you can prepare a complete menu or multiple courses at the same time. In addition to boiling and cooking, you can also use the pressure cooker for preserving and sterilising food.

Usage instructions Before using the pressure cooker for the first time, you should famil- iarise yourself with the operating instructions. Make sure to follow the instructions regarding the filling quantities. All WMF pressure cookers come with an inside scale to make measuring easier. Turn the heat down as soon as the required cooking level is reached. When cooking with the perforated insert, the food doesn’t sit in the liquid but rather cooks in the rising steam. It is suitable for vegetables and fish as well as for preserving, juicing and sterilising. The unperfo- rated insert is especially suitable for frozen food, rice or as a drip tray when juicing.

Proven WMF technology – simple and safe. The WMF pressure cooker cooks at high temperatures by applying just one simple law of physics. Under high pressure, water first begins to boil at temperatures above 100°C. In order for the pressure to build, the WMF pressure cooker is firmly locked by means of a bayonet lock and positioning aid. The sealing ring in the lid and a locking mecha- nism in the handle ensure the cooker is sealed airtight. While heating up, the automatic heating feature releases air from the pot until the valve audibly closes. Now the pressure can build up and the cooking indicator rises. There is a choice of two heat settings: The first ring is the residual pressure valve, which indicates if the pot is still pressurised. As long as this ring is visible, the pot cannot be opened. The second ring is cooking level 1 – perfect for tender vege- tables, fish and poultry. The third ring is cooking level 2 – perfect for robust foods such as meat, potatoes and pulses. When the cooking time is over, the pressure cooker can only be opened when fully depressurised. This is ensured by various safety features, including the residual pressure safety indicator.

The technology is tried and tested and can be operated with just a few steps. The material and craftsmanship meet the highest quality standards. WMF pressure cookers are made of Cromargan®: stainless steel 18/10, which makes them durable, easy to clean and dishwash- er-safe. WMF has a unique solution to cleaning. All the technology is housed in the handle. The valve and cooking in- dicator are protected by rubber seals and cannot be become dirty or impaired by escaping steam. The entire handle can be easily removed from its hinge and cleaned under running water. There is no need for valves to be unscrewed, painstakingly taken apart and cleaned. All WMF pressure cookers have a TransTherm® universal base which distributes heat evenly, retains it for a long time and is suitable for all types of hobs, including induction. On the inside of all pressure cookers, there is a scale with filling quan- tities for easy measuring.

Check the sealing ring for wear and tear on a regular basis and re- place it every two years.

Fast, healthy, aromatic and versatile – a WMF pressure cooker is something no kitchen can afford to be without.

Important: Before opening, shake the pot briefly to release any air bubbles inside the pot.

Function covered by three-year warranty.
